Openreach recently launched FTTP connections in my friend's post code - a post code check provides the following on the Openreach:
Great news. More reliable, future-proof and faster Full Fibre (Fibre to the Premises - FTTP) is available today at this postcode.
The problem is that when he goes to any ISP, such as BT or Vodfaone, no FTTP packages are displayed when his post code is entered.
Why would this be?

He needs to enter his full address not post code.

He has - the post code allows you to select your address. Same problem.

He needs to enter his full address not post code.
Wholesale has an issue at the moment, I can only do lookups by using NAD Key's and District ID's, full address checks fail with:
" We are sorry but the checker is unavailable at the moment. Please try again later."
All that is offered to me on the BT Site is Superfast Fibre 2 @ 74Mbit, its been like that for 5 to 7 days now, the issue at Wholesale has also put some of us upgrading on hold (i.e. open order).
So their issue might be linked to that.

He has - the post code allows you to select your address. Same problem. Only in the Address option! The Post Code option specifically says it doesn't work for FTTP
My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk. Domains, site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Three 4G, tbb tests normally 35-45Mpbs down, 65Mbps off-peak, 9-24 up.

I'm not using the By Wholesale site, I'm using BT.com and the Vodafone website to check the address. in fact no ISP shows me their FTTP packages.
|
|
Vodafone won't show availability as they don't officially set FTTP yet
As for BT.com it is possible that the Openreach stuff is done and just waiting on BT Wholesale
Have you tried ISP such as Zen Internet or IDNet?

Probably hasnt filtered down to other ISP's - as for BT they have taken the products off their website because of the current situation as they cant install any FTTP.

Vodafone does have FTTP packages. At present no ISP is showing me full fibre offers, only Openreach confirms I am in an FTTP area.

Vodafone is not in a pubic manner selling the Openreach FTTP packages. It has a FTTP range called Gigafast but that is over the CityFibre network.
e.g. BS14 8ER where Vodafone is signed up to eventually sell Openreach FTTP (Bristol) and nothing shows on Vodafone site.
Given the postcode can go have a look at what is appearing.
Also with the hold on new FTTP installs apart from possibly for keyworker situations some providers are not showing the option.
