Bt business broadband hub 6 - business vs residential

[link to this post]

Trying to fix a internet connection, the ISP is BT business broadband. The original router is now 10+ years old and stopped working (not really clear how, it still powers up and syncs). We now have a hub 6 from eBay (not sure if it’s a residential or business hub 6), but that won’t auth with BT (sync is fine)

Bt have give me a username ending @hg39.btclick.com but this also isn’t authenticating. Tech support seem sure a factory reset will fix despite that being done recently

Does anyone know if the business and residential hubs are the same, and do the default credentials differ (I know the bt homehubs all used generic credentials)

Thanks in advance

ensure you have the username and password correct.

Or try the default BT ID - I'll send you a PM

BT residential use the generic username [email protected] with a blank password (or BT if your device needs a non-blank password).

BT business use real credentials, the username typically [email protected] with appropriate password - you should be able to look your credentials up in the BT business portal.
