BT Home Essentials can someone clarify the devices?

[link to this post]

I will try and explain. My other half (whose not too techncal savvy) wants to sign up to BT home essentials. Now I think she's confused (or I am)! She seems certain that if you say use the connection on more than a few devices say phones laptops playstations whatever BT will not let you connect to more than 3 I do know a bit about broadband and wifi would seem very strange if BT did that or am I wrong?

It does sound a little odd and there is nothing I have seen in the Ts&Cs that covers it.

You do have to meet one or more of the criteria set down - JSA, UC, Income Support, Pension Credit &c

Do either of you "work from home"?

Long distance relationship (She can't work due to disabilities) she has it set in stone and convinced if she uses more than a few things i.e. smart TV laptop mobile her brother's playstation they won't let her connect to anything else. She even said she spoke to a guy from BT on the "Chat" who apparently said the same thing. I am bewildered

I'm on BT Home Essentials and can assure you there is no device/speed/use limit.

Plus if you need it you get all calls from your landline free including to mobile numbers.

So basically she could connect all the phones/laptops whatever for mother of sundays to her hearts content and she won't be cut off at just 3?

That is pretty much what I thought. I spent a hour trying to convince her not to go by what some random guy on the BT chat said to her but she was convinced lol
