Outage in TQ7 but no detail

[link to this post]

Hi. My mother's broadband has been down since about 1pm yesterday, along with many/most other people in her village (Slapton, TQ7). The BT fault checker claims everything's fine. BT's customer service acknowledge there is a problem but cannot tell me when it will be fixed, the size/scale or anything. She's old, vulnerable and relies on her broadband as there's no/little mobile reception and lives alone. Just recovering from a broken hip.

It's a real worry, the lack of detail from BT. Is there any way to find out more (online perhaps), or even someone here who might know what's happened?

Pointers appreciated, sorry for desperate message!

I hope you have registered your mum as vulnerable with BT and other services like gas, electric and water as that should help with additional communication from the related support teams when an issue occurs.

Some utilities work with others on vulnerable people - so you register with one and thenm with youur agreement the information is shared. You might be lucky and hit one early on, otherwise it is a lot of calls!

Yes, took a while but they sorted it in the end.
