Thanks for that. SamKnows says FTTC should have gone live yesterday but Openreach says 30th, which I will believe more. The BT checker still doesn't list it as available/coming soon for any of the postcodes around the enabled cabinets yet so I guess it's a wait and see situation.

In reply to a post by bookey:
Planned cabs on record. CMHEDp1, CMHEDp2, CMHEDp3,....(cut)

Ooh - where do you find out the planned cabs list? (and fundamentally, which cabinet I'm on?!)

I'd have to kill you if I told you...

Is your exchange due to be FTTC enabled?

Yeah, I'm on Botley (STBOTLY) and it says by end of Sept 2010 but there's no sign they've even started the work yet, so I'm not getting my hopes up! smile

Nothing on my list for that one I am afraid.

Might be worth checking local planning applications.

No planning permissions for my area that I can see. So that September date is looking rather optimistic.

The only weird thing is, in our area the green cabs are TINY. They're only about 18 inches wide feet wide and 3 ft tall, and they're pretty much empty - just a single big cable loops up inside the cab, then goes back down again - there are no connections that I could see.

Does anyone have any ideas about the cabinets likely to be enabled in Swindon (SSSWIN) and possible dates. I can see end of September on one site and December on another.

Can't wait to get faster speeds!!

Got a photo or a google street view link? that does not sound like a BT cab.

Do you have any information about which cabinets will get FTTC in Warwick (CMWARW) and/or Leamington Spa (CMLGS)?? Also any idea about how it is looking for completion (RFS dates were set at 1/9/10 and 1/12/10 respectively)?

Thanks.
