Close, but no cigar. grin
21CN WBC status: RFS date set: 31/08/2012

Eight years seems to be a decent guide though.

Scottish Labour politician: “The SNP are on a very dangerous tack. What they are doing is trying to build up a situation in Scotland where the services are manifestly better than south of the border in a number of areas.”

Interviewer: ”Is that a bad thing?”

Scottish Labour politician: “No, but they are doing it deliberately.”

My exchange originally had a RFS date for WBC of March this year!

Seeing as it was enabled for DSL in 2004, I'll be interested to see if an RFS date is released next year! smile

Looks like your theory doesn't hold water

My Exchange ADSL enabled in 2001 still has no date for 21CN or WBC.. 10 years on

BT could be waiting to see what the Welsh Assembly do with their share of the bduk funds?

Fibre will be obsolete by the time Cardiff Bay lose their "Welsh Capital tunnel vision" get round to doing anything for the rest of Wales... they have faster services along the "important bits" of the M4 corridor - the rest of Wales doesn't exist... unless they are bidding for regeneration funds from the EU.

But coming back to the "8 year rule"... if that were the formula we would have seen an upgrade planned around 2009 pretty much before the BDUK funds were ever a real issue. This (smaller) Exchange locally to me was "ADSL enabled" a couple of years after ours and is getting a WBC upgrade

The Newtown (Powys) exchange mentioned by another poster was enabled even before mine and is just getting WBC, so again the lethargy in Cardiff Bay over BDUK funding doesn't seem to have any effect on the situation, nor does the "8 year rule".

Personally I think it comes down to a set of darts, a blindfold and a map.

So how reliable is that? I.E. - Is it up to date, and likely to be accurate from an actual actioning the dates point of view?

If so, my exchange is dated another two months early. smile
