New Cabinet Fibre ?

along side some other cabinets just down the road from me there is a rectangle sprayed with white paint and 3 X's in. Could this be that BT might be planning to put a new cabinet in for 21cn or fttc.

We do have virgin media around this way unless its for that. What does everyone think

There's a good chance it won't be, BT do, mostly, use grey paint for marking such things up.

could be...usually the fibre ones go in quite close to the existing ones but sometimes they can be across the street for example.

fibre cabinets are quite a bit bigger so you can estimate if the X's are to any sort of scale

well im going to try and take a picture of it. but if its not for a fibre upgrade could it be they simply run out of room in the existing cabinets .

Oxford way BT are using yellow paint to mark up the routing for fibre optic.

Around here they used grey paint but they sprayed 'DSLAM' inside of the rectangle area

Not sure if its BT or Virgin

The existing cabinet is definitely your normal PCP cab so the distance and size of the markings suggest it's for a FTTC cab.
