Fujitsu have been working solidly at my local exchange for the last few days, we have no current date for 21cn wbc according to the various checkers.
I just wondered what they might be doing?

Would be good if it were true but I live in a village and thought we would probably be too rural for them to do something like that here.

May be a pilot. Possible high takeup because of only basic BT provision, but not enough numbers to cause a breakdown. Whereas for instance if they did somewhere a lot bigger, they would only need a small proportion with teething problems to give the product a bad name and effectively kill it.
Let us know what transpires  , whatever it is.

Fujitsu have been working at the exchange for a couple of months now and have recently been joined by Telent. I did notice on the plus net exchange tools checker that the capacity was showing as yellow in January but has now changed to green in March.
I guess they could just be installing extra capacity but I would think an adsl2 provider of some sort shouldn't be too far away. We only have about 1.5k residential properties on the exchange as well as about 50 commercial.
Nothing is showing on samknows and the exchange doesn't appear in any of the roll out spreadsheets.

No I'm in Rutland. There was a large allport lorry at the exchange a couple of days ago.
I went on to their website and saw this
"BT's 21CN project will revolutionise communications. Allport have been supporting telecom revolutions since 1974."
Therefore I assume they would be supplying the equipment for 21 wbc roll out at the exchange?
There is no provisional date on the exchange checker or on the dsl checker.

Fujitsu Teelcoms is a major supplier for BT, it's quite possible they are supplying contracted service for the equipment that is being delivered.

which exchange ? Rutland Telecom have been doing LLU. Fujitsu may be installing another DSLAM as on 20CN exchanges using ATM backhaul the way more capacity is provided is with another DSLAM to take some of the lines onto another ATM connection.
