Can anybody help? I had a TalkTalk line but they refused to help so I cancelled them. I now have a new line installed for over a week now. The openreach engineer said I couldn't find your pairs because they have the wrong CAB listed.
He assured me this would be corrected but it still hasn't. I cant order fibre while everybody else around me can .
Mr Saffron can you help?

Who is the new line installed via?
It takes a few days from install of a new line to it going into the databases.
Given the great vanishing of the holiday season would be best to save any pestering of people until the New Year now.

mark - "I now have a new line installed for over a week now." - have you ACTUALLY physically had a 'new line' installed or just changed providers with the same phone number? There is a big difference!
As BatBoy says, post your (telephone and address de-identified) checker results here - it should have a cabinet number for you unless you are 'EO'.
If the PO cannot offer FTTC (and it looks as if they are 'unable'???!!! for some unknown and not understandable reason) change supplier.

I suggest you should remember Andrew is doing this as a favour and back off hassling him.

Seconded! Since you appear to be dealing only with Andrew, and not answering other queries here, you should revert to email and stop clogging this forum.

|
All I was doing was finding out some info. It is all new to me having an error in the checker.
If it is ok with Andrew I will leave it to him to email me when things are moving.
