I keep using ADSL checker to see when ADSL2+ is going to be enabled, its been in a months time since last August. The speed figures quoted have always been rather low compared with reality, but recently they've got even worse.
The line was measured by an Openreach engineer as approximately 4 km, when carrying a fault repair. The infill cabinet showing up on earlier figures is approximately 3 km away.
Line stats are
Data rate: 448/4928
Maximum data rate: 964/5004
Noise margin: 16.0/5.4
Line attenuation: 31.5/53.5
which I understand are reasonable for the line length

I wonder why they don't seem to reflect reality.
