Samsung NX1000 sample shot

[link to this post]
Okay after a mixed reaction to the Sony HX200V, I've added a Samsung NX1000 to my collection and a first couple of pictures are at:
(Taken with standard 20mm to 50mm lens)

The first one is actually a crop from the full res 20Megapixel file, and bug is a further crop, showing a bug that I did not see when shooting the picture.

In comparison to the HX200V it is a bit harder to do macro stuff, but I am capturing a lot better detail with this camera. It is a bit odd going back to a fixed screen camera, but as main use for the Samsung will be portrait and landscape, rather than superzoom I am happy with the range the two cameras gives me.

The manual focus ring works better than the Sony, which might allow for more creative fun.

I'll grow up to a full size DSLR I guess next time.

You need a DSLR!

Here are a couple of my bug pictures:

Bug in Montagu taken in 2004 on a 6MP DSLR with an old non-autofocus lens.

Then using a 14.6 MP camera - Grasshopper taken earlier this year with a close up of the face

Or a friend on a cactus
