Belkin 7633 certain sites not loading

I bought a belkin 7633 router with firmware : F5D7633-4Av1_UK_1.00.17 and am on Bulldog

Most sites load up fine, but I cant access msn.co.uk, channel4.com, download.com, news.com, MSN messenge.
But I can access these sites when I go via proxy.

To test it wasnt my connection I was able to access all sites without a proxy via speedtouch 510 v6 modem.

Is there anything that I can try to fix this? or could it be a faulty belkin router?

Sounds like a DNS issue.
Have you tried the same sites with www. inserted?
Can you ping the sites from the command prompt?

make sure the MTU on your PC is equal or less than the MTU configured in the router. My guess is your PC is at the default 1500 and your router is 1496. If so set your router to 1500.

Why not try flush your DNS cache?
Here's a simple way, from the DOS Command prompt type in:

ipconfig /flushdns
---------------------

It could be your MTU setting, set it 1430

Carry out a tweak test on this website and use Dr TCP.

Fixed by changing pc mtu to 1400 and router increased to 1496
