looking for a new wireless modem/router

I'm shopping around for a new wireless modem/router.
Line is pretty poor:
Downstream Rate: 576 Kbps
Upstream Rate: 288 Kbps
Downstream Margin: 4 db
Upstream Margin: 15 db
Downstream Line Attenuation: 63
Upstream Line Attenuation: 31

I quite liked the Draytek Vigor 2800VG, but hear reports of problems with a weak line signal.
Anyone got any thoughts or recommendations - what is good and bad in the modem world?
