I've now been connected for 14 hours without a disconnect (which is a bit of a record as most disconnections occur in the evening and we didn't have one disconnect last night) and that was despite the noise margin dropping to 2db a some stages.

Currently the line is held steady at a connection of 2144kbps which again is an improvement as with the Voyager the connection speed seemed to vary between 800kbps and 1600kbps.

Line stats at the moment

ADSL Link Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 2144 kbps 736 kbps
Line Attenuation 60 db 14.5 db
Noise Margin 6 db 8 db

Again this is early days but it seems that the Netgear is a vast improvement on my Voyager 2100
