Dlink DSL-G624T - Losing port forward settings

[link to this post]

I have a Dlink DSL-G624T and to enable SSH connection to my server I have port forwarded 22 in the router. However, now and again I get the message 'connection refused' when attempting connection and on checking the router settings it's lost the port forward rule I created and applied.

Is this a known issue? Is there a work around? It already has the latest f/w in it.

A router that keeps losing it's port forward settings is no good to me!

Thanks for any comments.

i assume you are saving settings and rebooting after you make the rule ?
if you havent then when the router reboots itself for some reason it would lose your settings and go back to the last saved settings.
save settings is in tools then system on router config

Yep, saving settings and rebooting.

After investigating a bit further it seems to be when the laptop is switched off, and therefore the DHCP lease expires for the IP (although this is set to static IP anyway).

Have tried all sorts and still it drops the port forward rule. Wondering if I have a faulty unit.
