unable to connect to AP

[link to this post]

Hi,

After having problems with the Linksys WAP54g, I decided to reset the AP. Although clients can connect through it I am unable to connect to the AP to configure security settings.

I am using the setup wizard on the CD, it finds the AP and it has IP of 1.192.168.1. When I enter the default password, it says incorrect password.

My internal network IP is 192.168.1.0, I have no idea how to connect from IE.

Now I an stuck with an AP with no security.

Any help will be appreciated

You should be able to reset the password by either using the reset button or disconnecting from the mains for 20 seconds.
I don't have that model, but my Linksys wireless modem/router has an admin address of 192.168.1.1. The3re are no IP addresses that begin with a 1.
