Sky Netgear Router

[link to this post]

Dear All,

sorry if this has been covered already...I've managed to get a sky broadband (netgear) router delivered to me, but I've cancelled my sky order some time ago...Can anyone tell me if it's possible to "reset" the router so that I can use it with any broadband provider ? Do I simply need to update the firmware (if so which one)... It's quite a good little router I think...seems a shame to throw it out just because it's got SKY written across the front of it, but when I connect to it to configure it, it doesn't allow me to enter a username and password, there seems to be a whole section missing and no setup wizard.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...thanks in advance.

cre8.

Interesting...tried it a few times but no luck...if I select router upgrade from the actual router itself, it tells me its the wrong version or type. If I chose the Sky firmware it works no problem...

any ideas?
