Router Interface Timing Out (Belkin 7633 ver 1144uk 1.00.17)

[link to this post]

The subj model is one ive been using for about 2 weeks now, I got it as a replacement for my previous model (ver 1001uk 1.00.11),. The reason I got the replacement was because the previous one was becoming problematic in regards to connecting to the web interface. It connected to the web just fine, but when trying to check my stats (192.168.2.1) it would just time out. Switching it off for while seemed to do the trick, but then it would just time out again. I was also unable to even access it via axessh (before i could). I can ping and tracert ok, (both zen and my router).
Now since I got the replacement it has started happening again, and also with my backup router (linksys hg200). I have factory reset the routers, swapped cables, reinstalled operating system, tried several driver types for my lan interface (intel pro100ve, built into mobo (gigabyte 8ik1100 ver2)), with no joy, it works for a while but then starts to time out (could my lan interface be on the way out).
I have got my router in a well ventilated area, so there is no chance of it overheating. So could anyone help and try explain what could be wrong, its driving me nuts. TVMIA

Doesn't look like it's a router problem if it's happening with both of your routers, so realistically that means it's probably PC related somewhere.

Try typing IPCONFIG /ALL at a command prompt and recording that info while it's working OK -- then repeat and compare the info at a time when it's stopped working.

Look to see if the IP address has changed, and if it has, try opening a command prompt again, and typing
IPCONFIG /RELEASE
then
IPCONFIG /RENEW

See if that cures the problem, or post your IPCONFIG results back here if not and we'll see if we can help further.
