belkin 7633 - interleaving what does your say ?

[link to this post]

I have asked for interleaving to be turned off. BT say it has been done but my ping times have not reduced.

I have a Belkin 7633 router which on the home page under ADSL there is a TYPE filed.

This changed to INTERLEAVE a while a go when the pings almost doubled (during the 10 day test period) I am now out of this period and have been told interleave has been turned off but it still says that TYPE = INTERLEAVE

I just wondered if others have this router what theirs says and whether they belive interleaving is turned off or not ?

Cheers, Blair

1. If IL has been turned off, I believe you will need to have resynced since the change was made by BT to see that - I take it you have disconnected/reconnected?

2. Not that it''s much help in your case, but mine shows Interleaved, which is what it should say since that's my current status.

3. There have been lots of problems with BT reporting interleave turned off on lines, but it hasn't actually worked -- search these forums to check out others' tales of woe, and it may well be that you've been caught out with this too.

BT are supposedly trying to address the problem, but god knows when
