Setting up a speedtouch 585...

I've just purchased a speedtouch 585 v6.

I'm going to use it to replace my ageing d-link dsl 604+, and would like some help on how to configure it.

The router will be acessed by 3 computers, 2 laptops and a desktop. Acess by all 3 will be wireless. The wireless setup for the d-link was simple...go to the web interface, put in the mac adress of the 3 computers, a wep key, and that was it.

I'm hoping the speedtouch will be as simple too. However, I seem to have scared myself a bit by looking at the cli guide, which looks quite daunting to me!

If anyone out there could give me a hand in configuring my new router, I'd be grateful. No fancy set up, I can tweak later, but just to get the whole thing up and running wirelessly.

The CLI guide is really for advanced users. Much of the more mundane stuff is handled by using downloadable templates. Take a look at Zen's User guides - some of this will be Zen specific, but you should get a reasonable idea of how to set up the 585. I'm fairly sure you can access this info from outside the Zen network, but since I'm with Zen as an ISP, I have no way of telling for sure.
