Anyone using ST585v6 + DMT tool on a LLU line?

Just migrated over to UKonline on their LLU service. Since my d/s attenuation has been increased to 61db (was 59db on ispstream), i have am trying to sync on the same speed as before...around 3600 kbps (at present i get around 2800kbps). Using the DMT tool with the ST585v6, i can bring the SNR down to 3 or 4 and get a sync speed of 3500kbps (i save the settings in DMT of course) BUT the problem is then my actual speed jumps from 2800kbps to 100kbps!!! I then have to factory reset my router to get the normal (ie 2800 kbps) speed back....any idea why this is happening? Prior to today, i was messing around by upgrading the router firmware to 7.4 but then downgraded back to to 6.1.4.3...is there any way to REALLY flash back the router to its factory state? (other than hardware/software resets)

I also migrated today and since I had removed the 192.168 ip range I decided to stick something into the reset hole and put factory defaults back on.

The downstream attenuation is the same roughly but I think is slightly higher, the upstream attenuation has increased by 3.5db.

However I now have 13-15db noise margin on my upstream (depending on what cable and filter I use) whilst previously on BT ipstream I only had 6-7db margin this appears to be because a wider range of upstream is used it goes almost right next to the downstream.

The downstream looks to be stronger and higher bitloading at the start low attenuation part of the signal whilst the higher tones are weaker then BT ipstream, overall I have a lower synch available with equal noise margin but taking into account the inefficiencies of BRAS profiling I have more thoughput available to me.

With more of the bitloading on the lower tones I am now hoping over night there wont be too many problems at the moment I have 7.5db I think a lot will do with how well bitswapping works and how badly affected the signal gets currently I have a 6048 synch and 768 up. It is on fast mode.

Latency wise I am very impressed, normally on BT ipstream with interleaving I would be around 35ms to my isp, this over the last 2 or 3 weeks for no obvious reason jumped up to 50db and was quite high and noticeable now I have 8ms to easynet and 11ms from bbc.co.uk.

When you said your actual speed just drops you mean synch speed or throughput?
