585v6 vs 2wire BT 2700 on long lines

Has anyone done, or seen, any actual comparison testing of the above two routers on long line conditions?
I'm getting a decent enough performance from my 585v6 on a 5.1km, 51dB rural line, but if a 2wire might give even better stability with an even higher sync, I'd give one a go. My exchange equipment seems to be Texas instruments (TSTC).

for me the 585v6 was overally better.

The 2wire synched higher for same snr margin, but then lost this advantage when it lost synch at around 4-5db, whilst the speedtouch can hold at that with ease meaning to match the stability of the 585 I had to synch at a higher snrm losing any speed gains and I think in the end I had less synch speed on a stable 2wire. The 2wire GUI is very unresponsive and more limited than the speedtouch as well. At the time my isp was aaisp where I had 2 static ip ranges, the speedtouch could configure these no problem but it seems the 2wire doesnt support that even tho its a business router.

I think it is worth trying tho as others have reported positive results with this router and it is probably the 2nd best router I have tried on my line.

585v6 was/is more stable on my line.

Wireless power on the 2wire is good though.

My 585v6 is over all better than both of the 2700s i have owned. (54db line at the time)

Sounds like I might just stick with the Speedtouch. Any word yet if the newer v7 is good on long lines?

I have both and on my 54db line the ST585 V6 comes out on top.

Also using the 7.4.1.7 firmware.

Do you use wireless with that firmware? And perhaps also WPA-PSK security? Any issues?

Not using wireless always use wired so sorry can`t help there.

thanks you the first person I seen who owns both and has compared both.

my 2700 wins hands down against the 585 on a 55db line the only advantage of the 585 was when my SNR profile went up i could tweak it. my 2700 is stable down to 1db
