Linksys WAG160N - Any good?

[link to this post]

Thinking of getting one of these to replace the home hub I currently have. I have some line stats from my home hub here and hoping that the Linksys will work well and maybe improve the stats.

Link Information

Uptime: 1 day, 18:14:43

Modulation: G.992.1 annex A

Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 448 / 3,136

Data Transferred (Sent/Received) [GB/GB]: 4.52 / 5.67

Output Power (Up/Down) [dBm]: 12.0 / 18.5

Line Attenuation (Up/Down) [dB]: 31.5 / 57.0

SN Margin (Up/Down) [dB]: 20.0 / 6.0

Vendor ID (Local/Remote): TMMB / TSTC

Loss of Framing (Local/Remote): 0 / 0

Loss of Signal (Local/Remote): 0 / 0

Loss of Power (Local/Remote): 0 / 0

Loss of Link (Remote): 0

Error Seconds (Local/Remote): 0 / 0

FEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 199,483

CRC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 2,843

HEC Errors (Up/Down): 0 / 2,472

Line Profile: Interleaved

You may notice that I have high attenuation and low noise on my line. I've read reviews of the Linksys WAG160N but none really say anything about how it handles poor connections. I've read that the Netgear DG834G is best at handling low noise and broadband dropouts. What should I go for?

My opinion is that the Home Hub 1.5 is terrible and anything surely must be better than this. The Linksys is quite new hardware so not many user opinions around. The specs seem ok and reviews from certain magazines seem to say its great, though actual user opinions I've read so far say very different.

I have a Netgear DG834PN at home and was considering getting another one of these if it is better than the Linksys.
