If wired remove/insert the cable, If wireless remove/add to the Access Control List.

Could you point me to where this access thing is as i've looked around the router and cant find anything that relates to this?.

Look at section 4.6 Home Network of the manual. In section 4.6.1 it shows how to delete a detected device.

Note that that blocks all access to/from the network not just the internet

The manual implies that you can add wireless devices to the ACL (by MAC I guess). Have I assumed too much in thinking that you can also remove them?
Perhaps it's time for the OP to buy a different router.

That isn't the problem. The OP wanted to block internet access and I was pointing out that he would also block network access which may not have been what he wanted. I investigated blocking internet access only some time ago and I couldn't find any way of doing it.

Blocking network access aswell is just fine, as i can just put the computer back on the network when i want the computer to use the internet again, i'll have a look into this when i get back home and report if i successfully managed to do it.

Once this has been done, how do you add them again then?.

Looks like i've figured out how to do this now, you just click on the device you wanna take off the internet, and then click configure, and there is a box sayin allowed on wlan and you just untick and tick for internet access.

Which version of the firmware is that. I am using 6.1.4.3 and I can't see that option for a wired connection

Well it wont be will it as WLAN stands for (wireless local area network) which is not wired.
