I have upgraded to this firmware version and now find that my speedtouch 121g wireless adapter will not connect. With my neighbour's permission it is connecting to his network without any problem. I have tried the adapter on my PC and my laptop and the problem remains with both.
There were no problems with DGTeam Firmware v 1.03.25 0743
I would prefer not to downgrade firmware as I am getting a higher sync speed than before.
Can anybody help please?

Has the upgrade reset your security key or encryption level?

No. Both are the same as before.
My Netgear usb wireless adapter works fine but the range is much poorer.

There's a newer release of 1018, file date 15/5/10, this should corrected the problem with driver 026. I believe there was only a problem when going from 1014 - 023o with "Phyre" enabled -- need to ensure "Phyre" is set to "default" before flashing.
ibk68, I've a vague memory of seeing a report of wireless problems with 1018 when security was set to wep, problem fixed by changing to wpa.

I have flashed my DG834GT to the DGTeam 1018 from 1012 and it seems to be a bit more stable. As always I can sync at the full ADSL1 speed (8128kbps) so I can't really judge it's sync difference.
Downstream Upstream
Connection Speed 8128 kbps 448 kbps
Line Attenuation 13.0 db 10.0 db

By the way, what advantages (apart from phyre) does the ADSL Driver 026 have over the 023o?

I used the Driver for 023b. I have tried to register on the DGTeam forums a number of times without success and have since given up trying.
I also thought that I had bricked my router but managed to get it going by using the recovery facility (Only works with XP)
I have now reverted to DGTeam Firmware 1.03.25 (0743) which syncs slightly slower but is otherwise working fine for me.
Many thanks for your replies

Any idea which version I should be using on o2/Be*?

My connection varies from download connection rate of 2700 up to 3100kbps, I have currently had my connection stable at 3060kbps for 350hrs (nearly 15days), is it worth breaking the current connection do you think for the new firmware? Or if it aint broke don't fix it spring to mind.

Anybody else noticed if you flash the 026 version the router firmware version still says "V1.03.22 - DGTeam Rev. 1018"?
Also it seems we've gone (or at least I've gone) from v1.03. 23 1012 to v1.03. 22 1018.
Is this an upgrade or not?

026 refers to the version number of the ADSL driver.
You can check which version you have on the "Router Status" page at "ADSL Firmware Version" -- the 3 characters before the decimal point.
v1.03.23 and v1.03.22 refers to the Netgear firmware that DGTeams v1018 is based on. v1.03.23 was found to have bugs, think it was mainly in the firewall, so they've now gone back to v1.03.22.
There is a trial v1022 available, IMO best avoided at present.

Well good job "they" didn't make it confusing by having ADSL driver version 022 with firmware .22 and ADSL driver version 023 with firmware version .23
Oh wait; they did (in actual fact; you could have ADSL driver versions 022 or 023 with firmware versions .22 "1007" and .23 "1012", before making ADSL driver versions 022, 023 or 026 available with the new firmware which has rolled back one number to .22 whilst going forware six to "1018").
No; not confusing at all
I wonder what kind of a nut job thought it would be a good idea to have the ADSL driver version numbers and the Netgear firmware version numbers so close (and similar) it would obviously lead to confusion.

To be honest, I've never found it confusing, if anything it looks like you're simply confusing yourself!

Do live parental controls still work with DGTEAM, ie times of day, bypass accounts etc?
