Can You Recommend a ADSL2+ Modem/Router?

I am with ADSL24 using C&W LLU and they recommend routers/modems with Broadcom chipsets.

Can anyone recommend a decent one. Not just for the line stability, but it must have decent LAN & wireless features - DHCP reservations, WPA2, VPN, UPNP.

Netgear DGN834G - VERSION 4,
Make sure it is a v4 you get, as the v5 isnt as good, and has a different chipset!
Also, once you get it, put DGTeam on there and its a very powerful box

I think you mean "also don't get version 5" . (Which has a Conexant chipset).

Ah - re-reading, I see what you mean, but it wasn't clear. You meant "don't get a new one, which is version 5".

Indeed, should have read that haha not very clear at all!

I've now deleted mine as no longer relevant .

Not Broadcom but a custom designed front end - 2Wire2700HGV. Used by BT for Business customer and can be picked up - unused for £10-£15.

On most lines it will outperform any others - and will work down to 0dB SNR.
