ADSL Modem for WNDR3700

Can anyone recommend adsl modem that I can use with the netgear wndr3700. I have always had an all in one previously and am unfamiliar with what modem I should use?

You're probably going to be running a router in bridge mode, does your ISP support PPPoE ?

No its PPPoA.

I appreciate it is usually PPPoA, the question is can you use PPPoE. I'm doing this via PPPoE with a Speedtouch 510 in bridged mode.

To connect an ethernet router WAN to UK ADSL you'll need either a router with a bridge mode or some fudge to pass over the external IP. There's a Vigor 120, ADSLnation X-modem and a few others around. Most rely on PPPoE on the ethernet router for the login, hence the question.

Depends if the modem is configurable - Speedtouch kit (as my old 516v6) did the ADSL, PPPoA login and passed the public IP to its ethernet port. Shame its discontinued (and didn't support Annex M).

I have a 546v6 off Ebay for a tenner, runs in transparent mode with PPPoE on the client device

I see you can assign public address to a device or set it up bridge mode, which method would I use?

mine is in transparent bridge mode and the router (currently PC actually) does the PPPoE on its WAN port. http://yarwell.blogspot.com/2011/02/ipv6-part-1.html
