Today I got BT Infinity installed, the connection itself is superb. 38MBit down / 8MBit up. No problems.
The trouble began when I started using BT Vision. For some reason it causes my BB speed to drop to 13-14MBit.
At first I feared an exchange, contention or line settling issue but that doesn't appear to be the case.
I can reproduce it 100% of the time, just use Vision on Demand for a minute. Turning off the Vision box don't help, I have to reset the Homehub 3.
So to cut to the chase, I want an alternative to the Homehub 3 that would work. Even better if it can also replace the Openreach modem at the same time.
I assume this works similar to cable? Just a PPPoE router required here if the VDSL ones are too pricey.
Thoughts?
