dgn1000 mac address

Does anyone know how to change the mac address on a DGN1000 Netgear for use with SKY broadband

I didn't think sky lock by mac address,
just extract username/password from original routers serial no.

PPPoA connections don't require any alterations to the MAC address. MER connections do, and connecting with this method is problematical on Sky, most likely intentionally so due to the T&C.

so back to the original question; and a quick look in the manual (pg27)

Configure your router to spoof your computer�s MAC address. This can be done in the
Basic Settings menu. Refer to the online help in the wireless modem router main menu

so login to the router and click help...

Are you having trouble connecting with PPPoA then? Spoofing the MAC should not be necessary.

use backup settings, add the required mac address to the netgear.cnf after:
Use This MAC Address"=
worked for me, still cant get my dgn1000 to work on sky tho. frown
