The SNR drops down on my connection every night and I always lose connection. Is there anything I can do?

See the router link in my signature - that's how I sorted my low SNR in the evenings
You also need to ensure you've optimised your line as much as you can to make sure you are getting the best results for your situation.

Apart from changing the laws of physics - not much.
Reconnect just after dusk or just before dawn and leave it alone, that will hold sync all day and then should hold it all night.

I have been on your site before. I also have a SpeedTouch 585v6 but I have found that it drops to 1dB and then the internet times out. Do you have any suggestions?

Have you tried hitting the line outside with a stick to see if the stick breaks or not?

Are you able to run for a while plugged directly into your BT Test Socket to ensure your internal wiring/equipment isn't affecting things?
Also can you post your line stats? Attenuation/Sync/SNR
As MHC says you can't stop your SNR Margin reducing in the evening - BUT you can try to limit the effects where possible.
My SNRM drops 2-3db at night from a Target SNRM of 6db. Are you aware of your current Target SNRM? I also take it you aren't 'tweaking' the router to change the default?

Plugging into the test socket doesn't make a difference. My SNRM is 9dB but I have it tweaked down to 6dB so I don't lose my speed. It used to be stable at that level. An enginer visted a couple of days ago and fixed a fault. The connection seems to be better. My SNR has dropped down to 4.4dB and not any lower than that.
I might put the SpeedTouch back on to see if it improves things however.

'Tweaking' to a lower TSNRM when your line isn't stable isn't really a good idea!
If the lower target was causing you to lose connection while you had a line fault then this wouldn't help your speed/profile.
Anyway - glad things have improved for you

Very occasionally it will come up with a line near the top telling you your buffer space is nearly full. Then just log out and straight back in, which clears the buffer .

Would it be possible to post all the stats from your SpeedTouch?
