Re: Any way to test the maximum port speed?

The old laptop and the netbook will / might struggle to process at 80Mbps. I have a basic intel pentium dual core machine that cannot cope. It generally maxes out the CPU on the machine and downloads slower / stops responding (rarely).

A core i3, i5 and i7 are all fine.

File transfers between two PC's seem to top out at around 300 Mbps for me, iPerf is around 700 Mbps.

Have googled for reviews with testing, and you sure its an X200 and NOT an X2000?

http://www.smallnetbuilder.com/wireless/wireless-rev...

Has a review and shows it managing 93Mbps WAN to LAN, so okay for your needs.
