Are You Using The ASUS RT-N56U

I'm considering purchasing this router for Plusnet fibre, in the future. I'd be interested in your opinion of it and how easy it is to set up. Thanks

as I understand it because its a different chipset to the 16u and 66u it doesnt work with all the firmwares as well as the other 2 devices eg. merlin cant be used on the 56u. If you considering the 56u and the 16u isnt good enough I would get the 66u instead.

I have the 66U and the set-up was amazingly simple. The N56U is a different firmware but the set-up process looks very similar. There's a link on Asus's website to the EZ UI set-up video featured on the N56U here.

Both routers mention QIS but this seems to be just a marketing term and the GUI's are different.

I think you have misunderstood my question. I wanted a clear explanation of the router's set up & thoughts of those that use it with fibre. That's all. I did not understand what you were talking about. That was the reason for my response.
