D-Link DIR-615 Dead?

My dlink dir 615 has bee running fine for years. Untill now.

I recently flashed it from ddwrt firmware back to stock dlink firmware and all was fine.

But today I noticed my phone would not connect to its wifi. So i unplugged the router and plugged it back in again but all i was greeted with is a solid amber power light.

I have tried to reset it with no luck. I cant even get into the recovery mode (flashing amber power light)

So it it deader than a dead thing? Why would it just stop working?

Id really like to try and get this thing working again as i dont want to go out and buy a new wirless router.

But here is something odd.... My samknows monitoring box has also died today! How strange!

Do you have any troubles connecting wifi from devices other than your phone? If not then it wouldnt necessarily indicate that the router is at fault.

I beleive you amy already be registered on the TalkTalk Members Forum, if you wish you can be all means post on the TTMF and we can advise you further.

Thanks but this is not a talktalk related issue.

As for the wifi problems it was all down to the 615 I was using. My phone would connect to my other wifi routers fine.

But my DIR 615 is now dead and in the bin
