locked Technicolor TG582n.

Hi all. I hope this is the right place to post this.
I am migrating from BE to Vavaciti. I will be using the Technicolor TG582n router that BE supplied me as it is only 2 months old and will save me splashing out for a new one. I will need to change the PPPoA login in the router from BEs to Vavaciti's. The problem i have is the router is locked to BE. BE have said they can't unlock it and i will need to get a firmware download from Vivaciti to unlock it. Vivaciti have said that they haven't got a firmware download to do this and i will need to find a solution myself. I've searched the internet and this forum for a solution but can't find anything. I have found the set up manual which gives instructions on how to reset it but i doubt that would unlock it.
Do any of you know if i am able to unlock it and how this can be done?

Have you looked or asked on the be members forum ?

I would of but because I am leaving BE they have closed my account. I can't log into my account or the forum anymore.

I can't log in via your link either. I've clicked on the forgotten password link and an email should of been sent with a temporary log in but that has not arrived in my inbox.

The router GUI is nothing to do with your IP address. I'm not sure on Be, but O2 and PlusNet have it at 192.168.1.254

Sorry. I've edited my previous post. I am in the router now but still don't know how to unlock it so will not change anything.

Thank you for the link fredfox. I have checked and have found my router but can only find the firmware download for Be, O2 and Plusnet.

If you've forgotten your password you are lost. The user group forum login will work with your old BE password as it was when your account was closed. You can't get a reminder of it as the BE systems that do that say "your account is closed" and do nothing.
