Wireless ADSL router's 5 led lights keeps on blinking???

My wireless ADSL router (Model TP-LINK TD-W8950ND) is not working. When I connect the power cable, 5 led lights blink together; ADSL led and 1-4 LAN leds. Does any one know why it's behaving that way? Those 5 led lights keep on blinking and the router doesn't show the wireless nor it can be connected through LAN cables. Also the power was turned on after not using the router for couple of months.

switch it off at the socket for 5 mins, switch it on, if it's the same try a factory reset (pin in the hole for up to 15s while power is switched on).

If it's still the same it has failed. Consider whether to complain to retailer.

Flashing lights are random behaviour of dying electronics, doesn't look good.

Well, the unusual blinking of 5 leds are gone now...but a new problem arised. Now, when I switch it on, 'power', 'adsl' & 'qss' led lights are ON. But I can't seem to connect it to my computer as both 'WLAN' and 'LAN' are off, and I can't get them to light on. I think it's time to get a new router.

Did you do the factory reset as suggested?. You do that when it is already on. If you hold the button in when it is off and turn on, that is to flash new firmware.

Assuming you did it correctly, to get WAN on you probably need to enter your ISP username and password. (For the connection, which is usually different from your account).
