More importantly its believed that Openreach know from the DSLAM/MSAN end the capabilities of the devices attached, and all the Openreach supported modems support or will support G.vector, along with the Sky SR102, and the BT HomeHub 5. So I would guess attaching a non G.vector device would work for a while, but who knows for how long.
We need a "digital tick" type mark for UK VDSL kit :-/

We need a "digital tick" type mark for UK VDSL kit :-/ Vectoring capability is a specified capability for Openreach approval certification. SIN 498. Buy from a trustworthy source. (Even of apparently the same kit).
My broadband basic info/help site - www.robertos.me.uk | Domains,site and mail hosting - Tsohost.
Connection - Plusnet UnLim Fibre (FTTC). Sync ~ 59.4/14.4Mbps @ 600m. - BQM

i tried 4 routers before giving up, first poor speed on the vdsl modem would not connect above 55kbps, second, the modem connected at the Max speed available to me 80/20 but the wifi did not work correctly even though it was connected the wireless devices would show limited internet Wired was fine, third, the connection would drop every 20 mins, forth did not power up.....
Asus's tech support is terrible, they dont seem to understand the issue and send links to the FAQ off there web page
the DSL-N66U is not supported by Asuswrt-Merlin firmware,
my advise is to give this product a miss, i ended up with a RT-N66U using Merlin firmware using the openreach modem, the DSL-N66U and the RT-N66U are only similar in name not performance.

Very useful information, thanks. Sad they're not the same performance.
