Broadcom modem on eci cab

Hi guys im looking into getting a new modem/router to replace my HH5 Type A and am on an ECI(Lantiq) cabinet and was wondering if using a broadcom based home modem/router chipset IE: Billion 8900ax-2400 would have any negative impact on my connection cant seem to find any solid info at all about it.

its a choice between
Billion bipac 8900ax-1600/2400 (Broadcom)
Fritz!box 7490 Int(Lantiq)

I have also been pondering this very question. Any feedback?

Considering you're willing to spend a couple of hundred notes on the Billion or Fritzbox, why not add the Netgear D7800 to your list? It uses the latest Lantiq VDSL chipset (ideal for ECI cabs) and the 802.11ac/n wifi on this router will blow your brains away.

To answer your original question, you may not get the optimum sync rate when using a broadcom chipset router on a ECI cabinet, however the only way to be sure is by doing a side by side comparison.
