Hi everyone,
I've recently bought one of these routers and have set it up correctly as shown here: http://www.kitz.co.uk/routers/zyxel_VMG8324-B10A_vds...
I've also updated the firmware to the latest but even though I can access the internet, the DSL light is orange. Any ideas as to why this could be?
Kind regards,
William

Any idea as to what's going on with the link time?

Firmware bug......
Since Link time = 7 min 43 sec vs Link Uptime: 0 day: 3 hours: 7 minutes
missing hours....what are the stats now (just link time and Link Uptime)
|
|
|
Hi guys,
Thanks for coming back to me.
Link Uptime: 0 day: 7 hours: 56 minutes.
Since Link time = 56 min 21 sec.
I've got the latest firmware update. Which one is the stable?

All I can see from your OP is that the router has a rather strange way of reporting the stats. In particular Since Link time = 7 min 43 sec
FEC: 14409 0
CRC: 0 14
ES: 0 13
SES: 0 0
UAS: 0 0
LOS: 0 0
LOF: 0 0
LOM: 0 0
Latest 15 minutes time = 8 min 19 sec and the positioning of the two UAS entries.
The difference between the link uptime and the total time is easily explained.
As for not helping - your post of the stats asking "What is going on with the link time?" doesn't give us any idea as to what you find odd, your post "Anyone?" magnifies that obtuseness, and the post I replied to is as clear as mud as to what you see as a problem.
Maybe you could tell us what you are worried about?

William...just look at the "Link uptime" ignore the other stat.
You could report it to Zyxel to see if they will fix it next FW relase

Ok, thanks.

You bought one from avforums?
That guy was selling them suspiciously cheap.

I've reported this issue to ZyXEL, let's hope they fix it in the next firmware release!

Was considering getting one of them. 3-6 months use for approx £55 including postage. Seemed a good deal, when Pulse* are selling them for £128.

May I ask, which firmware version is the stable version?

Bump.
