Zyxel VMG8924-B10A AC1600 or 8324 or other?

Currently have ECI modem and HH3. With changing ISP I may need to swap the HH3 so I can enter a specific username/password. The ISP can supply Zyxel VMG8924 AC1600 or Zyxel VMG8324 N300 which I would use with the ECI

Would anyone recommend either of these, or have any alternatives?

Using 40/10 service and my cabinet uses Huawei

Billion 8800NL R2 replacing both, and keep the ECI modem in reserve.

Happy with my VMG8924 and not too difficult to set up to work off a modem. Only using it as a basic modem / router though.

If you don't mind splashing out then go for the Billion 8900AX which is Billion's best vdsl2 router - in terms of wifi coverage (4 stream) and the fact it uses the latest Broadcom chipset.

Otherwise the Billion 8800NL and TP link VR900 are excellent cheaper options.

What did you decide to do?

The 8800nl r2 is a good price but the wifi is a bit dated. I have devices that could use ac and the Bgn bands are a bit swamped in the street. The vr900 v2 looks good but it is twice the price. Dilemma

Another good alternative is the Tplink VR600 , is cheaper than the vr900 but with better wifi coverage than the 8800nl.

I've been using the Zyxel VMG8924 for about a year now. Can't fault it at all. Nothing synced as high as this modem for me when I was on an ECI cab. I picked mine up new on Ebay for £40.

I decided on the vr600 - reasonable price and ac wifi. Thanks for all the suggestions

Connection to current isp easy although having trouble with my Devolo DLAN power line adapters - it goes into standby mode as if there is no network.

Noticed dhcp on hh3 was set to 192.168.1.64 to 253 and the vr600 was 100 to 199. I thought the adapters wouldn't care. My YouView box And other devices have dynamic ip less than 100. I suppose I could restart them to obtain a new ip or change the vr600 to match the hh3 settings. Any thoughts? Emailed Devolo and tp link.

Once I get basic connection to my power line adapters sorted, do I need to enable iptv in the vr600 to enable iplayer through the YouView box and FireStick?
