Considering replacing my ADSLNation XTE-2005 faceplate filter with a BT one. Does the BT Mk3 have filtered extensions. Although trying the test socket with a different filter hasnt really improved things on my line with all the extensions disconnected?

The Mk3 has filtered extension connectors on the back of the faceplate, similar to the XTE-2005, and on the filter plate itself A/B connectors for an unfiltered extension, again similar to the XTE-2005. If that's what you want.
You do of course need a faceplate for it!

New back box at 22 quid then plus 184 and 44 base charge and wiring charge.
Question is if I replace the ADSLNation Plater with a BT Mk3 will the BT bod insist on a MK4?

It's a very different beastie. NTE5C IIRC.

See my edited post, could be quite an expensive do if a BT bod insists on Mk4.

I don't know. And although you can legitimately fit a Mk3 interstitial plus a faceplate you cannot legitimately replace the wall unit. Which is what you would have to do to get rid of a Mk4.
I would be fitting a Mk3 + faceplate, (you may still have your original faceplate from pre-XTE-2005), and resisting a Mk4 replacing it. As it would be "BT" kit the engineer is less likely to insist than with the XTE-2005.
Maybe Zarjaz knows.
Edit - AIUI if they replace a master socket whilst visiting for some other purpose that itself is free. Though the visit may or may not be depending on the callout. To me, that would be another reason to remove the XTE-2005 first, so that cannot be blamed for the problem.

I was in two minds to order a Mk4 or a Mk3 in the end I went for a Mk3 and a front plate from Ebay as filters dont last forever. I think the XTE is probably just as good as the BT Mk3 but an engineer may be less inclined to change it.
Currently running on the test socket with a TP-Link filter as Uno are running 24 hour test to check for errors but interleaving is on and errors are low.

The Mk4 wouldn't fit your NTE5. It only fits the new NTE5C which is a completely new assembly/design. Link.

Yes I realise this but I saw a Mk4 including back box NTE5C for about 12 quid on ebay same price as a Mk3. But there is the problem of an engineer asking who fitted this.

It would be nice to know what 'fault' Uno are reporting to Openreach.
Just see what the Openreach bod offers, they may still have stock of both.
Tests at either end of the DW3 would be interesting ... look at max rate sync/ant on tester when used at either end.

BT Openreach Mk3 faceplate fitted. Sync gone from 42 to 44 ds but us has gone down to 11.5 from 12.5. You win some you lose some. Uno will now monitor the line over the weekend for errors.

You have an attainable of 57Mbps - can you do a resync, by powering off the hub/modem, wait a minute, disconnect the line, wait a few minutes, reboot, wait 2 mins and then reconnect.
You are still way under what could be expected for the line, in a perfect scenario though.

Powered off the router for 2 mins but cant get sync past 44m despite attainable think it is interleaving at least the US has gone back to 12.5m.
