Routers' error reporting-differences.

I have been using routers from two manufacturers recently, and the errors reported in DSLStats for one seem to be more prolific than for the other. I say seem but am pretty certain it's the case.

I do not understand, since I am using the same computer, cables etc, so can someone, please, suggest likely causes?

Could be down to the chipset so which routers and which errors (CRC or FEC for example)
Is there any significant difference in sync speed and are you on fibre or ADSL

Even when devices have the same chipset there are differences based around the microcode in the firmware, i.e. some may be more optimised for certain scenarios
