Setting up my TD-W9980 with FTTP - Not compatible?

So i've been using this router for a long time on my ADSL/VDSL services but i can't seem to get it to work directly from my CPE with my current FTTP provider, I've found vlan setting for vdsl and the like but none for the wan interface, this would suggest it doesn't support vlan on the wan(ethppoe_1) could anyone confirm this or have a 2nd opinion.

Not seen what the setup for Gigafast is, but had presumed it would be a simple DHCP process. Have you tried DHCP on the WAN interface connected to the supplied ONT.

Its an unmanaged box that gives me a single WAN connection

i've seen on the vodafone forums they have a Vlan selection (911) for WAN connections

theses are my current settings so i don't see why i shouldn't get a connection unless i 100% need a vlan selection over EWAN
