Router didnt reconnect after outage

Woke up this morning and wifi not working. Thougt it was odd as connection been pretty much rocksolid since moving to FTTC. Turned PC on as this is wired and still no internet so knew it wasnt a wifi issue. Went into router stats and could see although i was synced there was no IP address. Rebooted and all is well again.

Now i noticed there was emergency engineering works in my area last night that said there would be a total outage. So i assume thats my connection dropped. Just wondering though why my router didnt auto reconnect?

Its a Netgear D6400 and always auto reconnects following outages/reboots before, but not this time and not sure why. I can only think as my last uptime was 80+ days and counting, nearly 3 month without a reboot caused a few gremlins in the router software that prevented an auto reboot?

Anyone else get this occasionally?

Power outage 10 times resyncs mean DLM will triggered overnight to put Retransmission High on both downstream and upstream but it wiill removed off after couple of days as long it no more power outage. It's happened to me with National Grid engineering work. DLM only work on Openreach FTTC and G.fast.

It’s just one of those things ….. not worth worrying about one iota.

Why 10 times?

It's happen to me more than 10 times resync due to national grid engineering work in my area two weeks ago that caused my Gfast DLM triggered but it has restored it back to normal after two days.

That's not what you stated in your previous post.
