Can't set up Asus RT-AX88U router

[link to this post]

After connecting the router to my modem & computer, the GUI didn't launch so I followed the instructions & entered "http://router.asus.com" in my browser. But, in Firefox & Chrome, there were messages that the connection wasn't secure & that it didn't support https. After I clicked on "ignore", there still was no connection in both cases & I got messages saying that the site couldn't be reached.

Why do you think the connection isn't set up to be done with https? Also, do you have any suggestions for what I can do so that the site *is* reached so I can set up a router name & password?

Have you tried "http://192.168.50.1"? As it's your own hardware on your own internal network you can ignore https warnings from your browser.
