Eclipse Home IPs

[link to this post]
It says here Eclipse Home are 'Dynamic IP'. Is that a sticky IP which doesn't change much or is it liable to change from day to day, which makes a difference running some apps.

My experience is that it changes on a router restart. I switch my whole system off overnight and back on in the morning. Thus the IP one day is different to the previous day's IP - albeit within a smallish range.

So I'd guess that, if you left you router on, the IP would stay the same. Though I'm not sure whether it would change in the event of a momentary disconnect/reconnect.

Hi guys,

Dynamic IP addresses in theory change every time the connection (drops and) reconnects.

While a Static IP stays the same whatever.

If you'd like to switch to a static IP address, this can be done for free via the connection manager within the Eclipse website.

Please shout if you have any questions.
