It seems to be hard to get accurate information about whether or not particular cabs are to be installed - one commonality with your situation however - I was looking at one place to rent which is about 500 metres from the exchange (not prepared to take a chance on something ADSL based "you should be able to get" so was waiting on FTTC)

There are cabs all round town and a sampling of random postcodes gives just as random FTTC availability.

Whether that's it, as good as it gets (rollout was September and appeared to be on time) and so that's the town done, or whether they will come back and do the other bits is a mystery. Asking ISPs just has them check the wholesale checker and report back "there's no information". Well, yes. That's the issue smile

Last night I looked at my builders plans (There are three builders on site) and there is 275 plots for mine alone!

Is that a flock of pigs that just went past my window?

I know this is digging this up however 10 months on and they (BT) have just converted 2 cabs that were not done (about 200 metres from the exchange) to FTTC! Yet sill nothing at mine frown

Over 260 customers and counting denied, very annoying!

Just to dig up an old thread, my cab now has a FTTC cab for the last month. However the on-line checker is still showing 31-MAR-2014, I just hope that its now brought forward as there is nothing worse than driving past it and not being able to connect to it!

Not uncommon for a cab to be stood for some months, as its different teams who do the cab placement, then the duct clearing and the final fibre blowing.

Except it doesn't work like that in all areas....

The other day, I was noticing a new cab that had just been installed, trenches were still dug up, and BT OpenReach were there along with CAS shoving a load of "black cable" which I presume is the tubing through the trunking for fibre to be blown down, into the man hole covers and pulling up at the end.

It was brilliant to see that when they want, BT can co-ordinate there efforts, and presumably if a trunk was blocked, they'd know about it there and then and be able to make plans to get the roadworks planned and prepped and in action.

That was in Kingstanding/Solihull.

When they can do it like that, one wonders why they cannot do that with the rest of them and why cabinets are stood idle for three months before even bothering to check the ducts!
