My Broadband Ping
My TBB quality monitor has gone from a nice flat and stable graph to above in the last few weeks. Obviously some of the peaks are caused by me downloading large files or watching HD stuff on Youtube but considering all the PC's in the property are turned off between midnight and 2pm the peaks in that time period can't be attributed to me.
So what's causing it? An increase in users? A network issue? Should I even be bothered?

quite a lot of packet loss at times.

Indeed but my ISP, IDNet, refuse to acknowledge that any PL is taking place. Quite annoying really.

I tried that approach but they weren't interested.
They wanted/want me to run random one time tests in safemode and report the results back. My argument, as such, is that these traceroutes and ping tests only lasts seconds and if no packet loss is present at that specific moment I'm obviously not going to capture anything useful in the test results.
It's a shame they won't take the TBBQM results seriously.

stick the MTR up on here between code tags would be of interest.

I'm just running WINMTR now so I'll leave it an hour and post the results.

I only ran it for 35 minutes as I'm about to go out but hopefully that helps.

Strange request, since in safemode, networking is not enabled.
Or is that IDNet speak for some other mode?
