Was September, then December, then March, and now June......

What does "accepting CP orders mean?"

It seems my exchange has been spared from any delays.

On an unrelated note, does anyone know when the Phase 6 cabinet data will become available? My exchange was part of that phase when it was announced late last year, but every phone number and postcode in the exchange area still shows no message about FTTC availability on the checkers.

Are same here , BT have put the date back 9 moths in total now and as we get closer to September I expect the same to happen again .

As there are some cabinets already in place I spos I should be happy my exchange has actually been started .

As for those exchanges in the next stages I hold little hope of anything happening soon as there so far behind with there current roll out plans .

It essentially means the exchange is live. Or "live enough" for them to be accepting orders from ISPs on behalf of their end-users.

Because the actual installation at end-user properties is perhaps 10-days after ordering, they *could* go into a "accepting CP orders" state a couple of weeks before being fully live.

However, caution is still needed - an exchange being live doesn't mean your cabinet is yet live. My exchange went to "accepting CP orders" in November; the first people I know of to *actually* order did so in December, and connected after Christmas, but my cabinet is still not live. It did have some roadworks for power installation 3 weeks ago though...
