Does anyone know if there's a way of seeing the sync speed from the modem? Not sure how to do this now that the modem is separate to the router. Does the modem also have a web interface?

no, other than by looking at what speedtester.bt.com reveals.

The modem that BT supply does not provide any stats. You can normally get to see your profile by running the BT speedtest (assuming it's working)..

Others have replaced the modem with alternatives that do provide stats.

OK, well I'm not too worried - I think I'm almost maxed out on download anyway so I'm probably syncing close to the max speed.

If and when the BT speed test works again, it doesn't give the sync, just the IP Profile. The highest is 38717kbps.

Am I right in thinking BT's own speed tester is not working for FTTC at the moment then? I just get an error.

Seems to be working again now. My line profile is at the highest level, which is odd as my predicted speed was only 25Mb.

200m to the cab should see full sync, no problems. I have the full 40 at 566m, and I've seen it go longer than that on a nice copper pair.
