How do you know if FTTC is available?

Hi,

I have recently been following the FTTC news and according to SamKnows, it says that my exchange is enabled for FTTC but only available in some areas.

Checking on the BT Infinity site, it says that FTTC will not be available to me until 1st July, but I have heard that the BT FTTC checker, is known to be quite unreliable?

Is there a quick way of finding out for sure whether FTTC is installed and ready to go at my local street cabinet?

if you want to order it then it neds to be "available" on a line checker. Try http://www.idnet.net/fibre/ or another ISP other than BT Retail

According to that check it says the following:

Your exchange is due to be upgraded to Fibre Broadband on 01-07-2011

Which is the same as the BT FTTC Checker. Oh well, guess I will have to wait then. Bit annoying that my exchange is enabled for it, but it's not available to me at the moment!
